In 1949, paranormal scientist Eleanor Abbott had a revolutionary idea. Candyland. Using the characters found in her daughter's coloring books, she made a group of fantasy characters, in a land of sugar, spice, and everything nice. She proudly took her creation to her lab, and accidentally spilled an experimental liquid known to be possessed with ghosts of old dictators. It spread around the board, bringing these fantasy characters to life. In 1949s, Candyland, the original goal was to get to the castle of King Kandy. All these characters would lose their memories as the game folded into itself and reset but, now that it is on display in the Smithsonian, it's not being folded in on itself or resetting. King Kandy was the first to gain his memory, and once he saw that he constantly had to share his wealth at the end of each game, he began getting more and more possessive with his riches. Once the Candyland characters noticed this, and a revolt was organized to overthrow the King, which is now your responsibility.
